Need help with Windows Media Player 7

1) Looking for AVI codec for WMP7. Anybody know where to download and install?

2) Preview the movie trailers on WMP7 but no save option available. Where do WMP7 put their temp file?

3) Is there a way I can record or cut and paste part of WMP7 video? Any third party software will let me do it?

Any information, suggestion or recommendation will be greatly appreciate.

1) AVI codec? AVI is a Windows codec. I think you mean DivX files, which are sometimes encoded as AVI files. Go here for the DivX codec:

2) You would have to look in your C:\Windows\Temp\ directory for the files manually. It may be in one of the subdirectories.

3) The only file format you can manipulate easily are mpegs, and there's a lot of software for that. Just check
www.download.com
www.tucows.com
and look around.

Never thought Divx listed as AVI format in Windows Explorer. Thanks for your info. It's a great help to me. I really appreciated.
