Hey Folks...
I've done a bunch of system builds in my time & never had a problem like this...I've been doing cable mods (sleeving) all week & finished up last night...
I go to plug everything in & I can't get any video...at all...
I don't know how this happened, but somehow, one of the pins on my Hitachi SATA drive broke off...This is my 1st SATA drive, so I can only guess that a broken pin would result in the drive not working...but it still fires up...but no video...
So I unplugged the SATA drive & plugged in my ATA HD...Still no video...I've checked all other connections & everything else seems to be working fine.
My guess at this point is, somehow & I have no idea how, but my video card died.
I'm not sure what else to try at this point...I'm hoping someone out there has a suggestion or two...Or has experienced the same thing...Again, I've built several systems in my time, but never had anything like this happen.
UPDATE: My BBA X800XL died. I tested another card & it worked. My system sat on my living room floor this entire week while I did the sleeving...I honestly have no clue how the card suddenly died...without even being used. The card's only 4 months old.
