A recently installed NASCAR 4 game has been locking up my system after about twenty minutes of play. In an effort to fix this, I updated with the win2k6011 driver then rebooted. I made a few changes to my Radeon 32 DDR with UniTuner based upon a tweaking article found at http://www.rage3d.com/radeon/reg/index.shtml and rebooted. I can run NASCAR 4 at 800x600 16 bit with all effects set a minimum which is very unrealistic and boring. 3DMark 2001 causes the system to automatically reboot after the first demo test completes. The system log has the following error message recorded:

?The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0xb78a2b71, 0x00000000, 0x00000008). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was saved in: C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini011302-01.dmp.?

Determining that the previous operation was better than the present, I decided to try to get back to the initial setup. The instructions for the latest ATI driver says to uninstall current driver with the add/remove programs utility before loading the new driver. The utility will not remove the Omega driver because it is not ?certified?. I tried loading the ATI driver anyway; however, a look into the registry has the following text which seems to indicate that Omega driver is still installed.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

I need help.
How can I remove the Omega driver?
How do I get back to stock video settings without a reformat and system rebuild?
What is the bugcheck error that is crashing the system?

Go into the display props and change to "standard VGA PCI" and reboot. After this, you will be able to install the video driver of your choice.

So I should just not worry about apparantly having multiple drivers in the registry? I know just about nothing about W2K registry; therefore, I don't know if mulitple is/will cause conflicts or other problems or not.

Thanks for the response.
