I am running the ATI AIW X800XL.. I just bought another monitor so that I can run dual monitors.. This video card does that but it only has one VGA and one DVI... I need to run dual DVI for better graphics... I have a motherboard that has PCI Express x16 1.0 on it.. It actually has two of the slots but I would like to just buy one video card that has 2 DVI on it... Anyway, there is new technology out there, PCI Express X16 v2 and v3 but I really do not want to upgrade my motherboard, chip and memory.. So what video card can you suggest for the best performance on straight graphics that is PCI Express X16 v1 that will have 2 DVI ports? Any help would be greatly appreciated..

ATI Radeon HD3870 X2 or 4870 X2 also dual Nvidia. Hell my 8800GTS640 has two plus the adaptors as well.

I'm curious, how bad was the image quality when you used a VGA to DVI adapter? I used one for a short while years ago and couldn't tell the difference, but then again I never had very high quality monitors. You could connect one monitor through VGA, and then the same one through DVI, and compare quality.

Why the dual GPU recommendations? There are plenty of far cheaper video cards that have dual DVI ports.
