I want to be able to upgrade the bios as soon as my board comes in this week. In the past for my bh6 board I downloaded a bin file and a bios flash file. Now on the abit site there is only an exe file. Can someone explain how I need to flash my bios? thanks

Go to http://go.to/kt7faq and click on the "BIOS" section. They have a very helpful how to on flashing the bios and more ...

P.S. Plus links to all the Bios's and the flash utility.

#1Download awdflash.exe and the bios file and put them in a directory together.

#2Boot off a floppy and go into Dos mode.

Go to the dir and type For example C:\awdflash ber_uk.bin putting a space between the awdflash and the bios file which in this example is the latest bios for the BX133 Raid. Then it will take you to this screen and ask you do you want to save your old bios. You can either press Yes or No. After deciding if you would want to save your old bios it will ask you are you sure you want to program then you need to hit Y and watch the white bars on the screen until they finish and it will give you an option saying F1 reset and F10 exit. Just hit F1 and watch your PC boot up with the new bios. When you enter the bios setup load fail-safe defaults and reboot. After that just config your settings.

I tried that way...no luck. I would grab the abitkae.bat file from either abit or abios.com. They have great instructions. I just typed abitkae.bat into altavista, and like the 5th or 6th one down had the file, and a great link. Just make sure you type the ".bin" after the new bios update file. That screwed me the first 5 times
