Need help with Thinkpad and XP Pro

I just reformatted my system and for some reason now, I can't see any of the network adapters when I click on My Network Places. The only thing I did was install XP and SP2. I loaded all the driver's for the IBM T43. The ethernet connection is fine but I can't connect also via wireless. I even turned off security to make things easier. I went to the device manager also to try to turn on the wireless radio but that doesn't seem to do the trick.

Thanks for your help

By wireless, do you mean the built in Wi-Fi antenna and connection? The place to turn that on and off (other than a keyboard button) is located in Start, Settings, Network Connections, New Connection Wizard. Run the Wizard, and in the process, you should find and Enable/Disable switch for that service. It won't be in "My Network Places" until it is created. Since you reformatted, you have to do that from scratch.
