Need help with testing my newly build PC.

Well, finally finished building my computer. it's my first time doing it but it seems to work fine after I installed xp pro.
I'd like to run some tests to make sure the ram is properly working, the video card, memtest, etc......you get what I mean. Also, what should the tempretures be.
However, I have no idea what test I shoud run, how to run it and what are the numbers or outcomes I should be looking for.
If you are so kind, please help me out.

And lastly, I have two Sata harddrives, but for some reason it shows only one of them in "My Computer" but in Hardware/Device Manager it shows both. I am pretty sure I did not set up RAID eventhough I downloaded the drivers. What do you guys think?
Here is the system, it might be helpful to know:

AMD 64 3400+ (Newcastle core)
DFI Lanparty UT250GB
2x512mb PDP cas2
2x200GIG Seagate Sata's (no Raid, don't laugh at me, casue I need a lot of space for large video files)
MSI 9800PRO
Antec 1080AMG w/430Truepower PSU

Any help is very appriciated.

Thank You

I can't help you with the hard drives issue, because I know nothing about SATA or RAID configs

However. The testing part... I have also just forayed into this realm of building & benchmarking etc. and I must recommend SiSoftware's "Sandra" series. The link to their site is 🙂 here

The program is pretty easy to set up and run, and not only allows you to benchmark your system in a variety of ways, but it shows you average scores from other configurations and different hardware types, so you can see where your system weighs in. Its a pretty fun little app... for us 😀

no i didn't.
is that why?

if that the case I'll do it all over again, cause I need to break down one of the harddrives into several partitions anyway.

meltdown75,
I will download the Sandra and run tests on it. I heard a lot of good things about it too.
Another test I'd like to do is the Memtest and some number where you burn-in the memory and see if it runs problem free or what. Do you guys know how to do it?
Alos, another one would be AquaMark (forgive me if I misspelled it).

Thanks everyone
