I bought a 1 GHz Thunderbird from Onvia.com last month, but of course the MSI K7T-Pro2A motherboard got backordered and they cancelled my order (damn them).

At this point in time, should I wait for the "Turbo" version of this motherboard, or find another K7T-Pro2A now? Is the main benefit of the "Turbo" motherboard for some future version of the Athlon processor? ('Cause if that's the case, I'll just make my move now.)

Well, thne turbo does support the 133 ddr athlons, but my lots of people are banking on using them to overclock their athlons. It looks like they'll be delayed again though.

Ah the hell with it, I just ordered a non-Turbo Pro2A tonight, before my 1 GHz TBird loses any more value. Who knows when the Turbo's coming out?

The new 266Mhz motherboards started coming out in Japan, and you might be able find them here.

I am now wondering if I could lower the multiplier on my 1.1G@1.25G to 9x using a 266Mhz board and run it on 133Mhz bus.
