I can't get my Soyo dragon + to boot. Everytime it comes with a long beep followed by continous beeping with 5-10 sec interval. It's not the my display and i've tried to different types of DDR-RAM 2100.
My setup is:
Duron 1000
Titan Majesty Cooler
256mb PQI DDR-RAM 2100 or 128 Spacewalker DDR-RAM 2100
IBM 60GXP 40gb
Kabinet with 350w powersupply
Please help, i can't figure this one out.

The same thing happened to me when I first tried to boot up my Soyo Dragon +, it's really weird...

Anyway, it took me a few hours to get it to work, but I finally think I know what the problem was. First of all, make sure you have the sticks in 1 + 2 slot or just 1. Don't accidently put it in 3. Refer to your mobo manual for a diagram.

That still didn't work for me, so after much work, I think that the problem was the way I was inserting the RAM. I know it sounds stupid, but make sure you don't push down one side at a time. You *MUST* put down on both at once. Everytime I did it once at a time, it wouldn't boot. The few times I pushed down on both at once it booted fine. Also remember that give it about 20 seconds when you try to boot it up, because it takes about 5 seconds for the screen to even come on...

Good luck!

edit: yeah, sounds like the dude above me knows your situation :) - time elapse

hey dude,

sorry, i don't know the end answer to your question, but this is what i could gather up. i think you need to figure out what those beeps mean, and the second link here should help.

peace.

from Lycos Article:
"If you know what kind of BIOS you have (if it was made by AMI or Award, for example), count the number of beeps and in what order they appear (one long - two short, or one short, one long). Then check the BIOS manufacturer's web site to find information on what the beeps mean."

according to this http://www.soyousa.com/syk7vdragonp.html it's an award bios.
