NEED HELP with some decisions on a mobo and cpu

hey.. im planning to upgrade my system i was planning to get a EPOX EP-8KHA VIA Apollo KT266 (VT8366) 200/266 MHz and a athelon 1.2 gig cpu i already have 256 sdram pc100 is it useable ? i have no video card so far.... any info on this would help thanx... calculated it will cost around 230$ with mobo + cpu + case

The PC100 stuff will work, but it will slow you down because the RAM probably won't be able to operate at 133 MHz. I would either advise going to the Epox 8K7A and getting some new DDR-RAM or at least buy some new PC133 stuff. 256 Mb of either one should be around $50.

You can't use your PC100 with a DDR board! I don't think this board has DDR and SDRAM support. It only uses DDR sdram!
