Need help with software installation for ATI All-In-Wonder 8500DV

I've got an ati aiw 8500dv and windows 2000. I've heard so many contradicting "guides" on how to go about installing the drivers/software for these radeon AIW's. I've tried the seemingly popular guide written by sasha over at rage3d.com, but that did not work (either). I was wondering if anyone here has had success installing the drivers/software for an AIW under Windows 2000.

This thing has frustrated me so much, I'm about to pull my hair out. If anyone can give me some for-sure guides on how to install, or just any help at all, I'd really appreciate it.
