Icq message works great. Icq chat says "can't establish direct connection to user."

I found a few pages on practicallynetworked.com, but they were too vague.

anybody out there have this working? Please only respond if you have this exact combo working, or know how to get it working.

I've tried opening up ports 20000 to 20019, but I must not be doing it just right, or left something else out.

thanks.

rick

After you map ports 20000 to 20019 to your first client (192.168.0.2) then tell ICQ on that machine to use those ports. Then map porst 20020 to 20039 to the second client (192.168.0.3) and tell ICQ on that machine to use those ports. Do this for each client in your network.

So not only do you need to map those ports to each machine, but you also need to configure ICQ on each machine to use the ports that you mapped to it.
