Need help with Skyrim houses.

Got the Falkreath hold, overlooking the lake.
I decided to go with 3 towers. They seem nice enough but I realized I dont need too many bookshelves and the other stuff can be done in the main house.

If I decide to switch over to the regular rooms will all the goodies I've invested in the towers disappear permanently, or will I be able to get them back if I decide to change over to towers again later?

Just save the game, try it, and see what happens. Then if it does screw things up, you can load up that save and pretend the bad things never happened. Much like real life.

I built three houses and was never satisfied with any of them.

Yeah I suspect the custom home mods other people have made over the years are probably better.

The worst is you get a house you like and your wife bitches about it. Ok you can go live in Solitude, but I'M STAYING HERE!
