Need Help with Seti

I am trying to install seti@home on my computer, and need some help. After following the instructions in faq on how to get seti up and running. In the dos window I keep receiving this message after connect
( no such file or directory). Anybody have some suggestions. Thanks.😕

Right now Berkeley is experiencing a great deal of problems with their bandwidth. This is probably one of the worst times of the day to try to connect. I would advise that you wait until later and give it another try. The ideal times are between 1am and 5am CST, but I know that might be a little difficult so you may find as it gets to the evening hours that you can slide in.

Like Crazee said, you might need to get up tomorrow morning a little early and give it a try then. If you have success which I believe you will, be sure to cache a lot of WUs right away. Then you can handle the poor conditions we are currently having much better. 😉

BTW, what type of connection do you have at home? Can you leave your internet connection running 24/7? If you can, then select AUTO TRANSMIT and your worries are over.

If you are operating a 56K with only one telephone line then you are going to have to logon when you first wake up and try to get your SETI upload/download work done then.

😕 I didnt think it was possible to post a blank message! 😉

A space is a valid ASCII character!!!!!!! heh heh 😛

EDIT: Aren't I amazing? 😛

Thanks to both Crazee and Smokeball. I t must have been a bandwidth problem. Everything worked fine
later on that night. Now I guess I'll just have to join the team. Thanks again see ya later
