Need help with Sega Saturn please

I'm posting this is the Off Topic forum because I value the wealth of knowlege available here.

I've got this Sega Saturn that stopped playing games.
Hit the power button, the led comes on but nothing else happens.
The disc doesnt spin and the laser doesnt calibrate.

I've removed, tested, and reinserted the backup battery,
Checked the contact on the switch that tells the system when the 'cd door is closed.'
I've also checked the fuse inside of the system.


If anyone has any ideas or resources that I could check out please let me know.
I really cant afford to have someone else fix this for me (or buy another system).

sounds fudged to me

i'd just go at it with a multimeter to see what parts have power

ouch, if you dont even have CD spin-up, I'd say you're SOL...

Good luck finding a new Saturn. Yikes.....

Wow. There are many SS emulators out there that work on existing platforms including PC.

Do some searches.
