Need help with seagate harddrive sata

I just put together a new computer with an asus A8V Deluxe
and seagate 160 gb sata harddrive model #ST3160023AS
it is not detecting the drive
does anyone know what i can do? i have never installed a sata harddrive before so its possible i could have missed something simple.
 
when you install windows, you have to hit f6 and install additional drivers, i have the exact same board and drive. On the asus CD, go through the drivers folders and look for the sata drivers, in their will be a program called makedisk.exe which will put the drivers onto a floppy disk. hit f6 when installing windows and it will install drivers and recognize it
