Need help with SCSI

The only problem I am having is when I start me computer and as it reads my drives in bios, it then reads the scsi adapter then on to the Plextor CdRom. After it reads the Plextor CdRom it tells me no "SCSI BIOS INSTALLED!" then boots into windows with no problems at all. While in windows I exprience no problems either. Do I need a scsi bios or should I ignor the comment?

Thanks,
MK

who makes your scsi card? Adaptec? You don't get an option to go into the SCSI card settings?

I also have that problem with my Adaptec 2940U. I don't think it has a built in which means that you can't boot from CDROM.

Ignore the message; you will get that when there are no SCSI hard drives present which require the SCSI bios to operate. CD's and other SCSI peripherals do not require the bios. If you are not going to use SCSI hard drives, a lot of $$s can be saved with a cheaper host adapter.
