[need help with school] Government Project - I need HUGE campaign item. And many small items.

Hello all!
I am a Senior in Houston, TX (school in Bellaire,TX), I have Government project that says I need campaign items (posters, buttons, balloons, shirts, etc) for a bunch of people running for election on November 7.

The big poster:
I want to take a HUGE poster, 2x or 4x the size of average door, I'll fold it in half, and have all the other little items inside 🙂 So it's taller than 6 ft, even folded. Where can I get this?

And for the little items, where can I get them? Teacher says rip them out of people's yards (ask permission first), but in people's yards
a. Not for all candidates I need
b. there must be other way....I already went to Democratic and Republican offices and collected what they had (not much)...

Any help on where to find items or how to make project crazy and fun will be appreciated!
