Need help with SATA on Gigabyte DS3

I just put together a system and everything is running well so far, except I'm trying to figure out why my hard driver keeps clicking. I have a Western Digital 250GB SATA hard drive, and like when I'm just surfing the internet or doing something, it sounds like it would click, then start spinning again. Is there setting I'm missing to make it keep doing that? It can't be a bad hard drive cause its new and everything else is working good.

It can be a bad hard drive, even if it's new. Maybe damaged in transit. Return that, because no good hard drive clicks.

Is there a test I can run to check if its bad?
