Need help with restoring from backup

I got a replacement iphone for my defective one and synched the old phone to itunes and backed up before doing the new phone install.

When I went to select the option for setting the iphone from a backup there were like 6 different iphone backups. I picked the last backup option and restored the phone. However, that was not my last backup and some things are not on the phone.

How do I know which backup is the most recent? Is there a way I can get rid of those other backups? I can post a screen shot of this if I am not describing this correctly.

nevermind, i finally picked out the right one. now is there any way I can delete those other backups?

Hmm..might want to call and ask Apple.

The folder that contains the backups I believe is in your iTunes Music Folder.

Yeah, I don't see it in there. Is it a hidden folder or something?

Macintosh hd/library/application support/mobilesync/backup
