Need help with Razer Support

I have a Razer Imperator 2012 mouse and every couple of days/weeks it starts acting up with either the horizontal or vertical axis stop working for a couple of seconds. I sent a ticket to their support and they've told me to use the surface calibration with a nice bit of paper for the time being, is their any other way for them to test it other than this? I hate using paper as a mousemat 🙁
