Need help with purchase

I am going to buy the Fong Kai 603 from directron.com and they are asking me to choose an I/O shield. Now I do not know what this is but the choices are with or with out audio. My mobo is assus a7v and I have a sound card so would I get with audio? Also, how important is a front case fan? If I do get it would I need a motherboard connection or powersupply connection. I am at work so I can't look at the mobo.

you would get without audio since you said you have a sound card? but check to see if your motherboard has onboard sound, if it does choose the shield with sound, if it doesn't have integrated sound choose the one without. kinda sucks that they don't give you both.

Thanks, that makes sense. I got the A7V without sound (better oc). Any idea for the front case fan. I got the crome orb and I heard Fong Kai as good cooling.

Front fan is always a plus, and for $5, it sure doesn't hurt.

actually it is $8.00 for the fan. I am really not liking Directron so far. They even charge $2.00 for directions...which I don't think I will need anyway but still that is just sleezy. However there is still the question of motherboard or the power supply connection option.
