Need help with problem on a 2000 lesabre and id'ng a part

When my parents drive their 2000 lesabre, the car shakes enough so that the rear view mirror shakes. It drives everyone crazy when you look at it can also feel it a little. In the past 12 months, the car has had all new tires, front strut mounts, new rack and pinion, and new shocks. Don't know what the problem is. Their getting of getting the run around by mechanics.

Today I notice that it sounds like a rear shock might be bad. I take the tire off to examine it but it's too dark. I notice however, that their is a greese bushing of some sort in the rear that's blown on both sides. Don't know what it is. Maybe a sway bar end link or something??? On the rear there is 2 bars that connect the subspension to the center of the car. The end of both bars that connect to the subspension has a bushing or something that is blown which has greese inside. What is it so I can replace it. Would this be the cause of the light shaking throughout the car?
 
What speed does it start to shake and does it get worse at higher speeds or a little better?

Have you rotated the tires yet from the back to the from to see if it changes? Also when you take the tires off look at the inside of the tire to check to make sure it does not have a bad belt.
 
The car starts shaking a little around 40 or so and up but stays the same at all speeds. One can't really tell but the rear view mirror really shows it. The car had new tires last fall and I wondered if they may be bad so we had all 4 replaced under warranty 2 months ago but the light shaking is still there. Also forgot to mention that the front plunge joints got replaced as well.

Anyone have a clue?? or even what that part in the back is??
 
I believe I know what the part is. An adjustible link. Don't see how it's adjustible but that's what the dealer's telling me. They want $106 for the whole part. Guess they don't sell the bushing thing seperatly. Looks like i'll be going to the junk yard to find two. I'm also thinking this might solve the shaking thing.
 
So is it broken at the part near the wheel or center of the car. Is it loose or broken?

Now if you say broken because of the boot in the picture that has a crack, that would not cause the shake either. Those boots crack and wear out all the time. And being that it does little work, unlike a tie rod on the front, will probbale last the life of the car even with the boot open like that.

I believe that part is called the torsion bar, if it has come off completly, doesnt look to have in the picture, just the dust boot is cracked I can see in the picture, it could cause the car to shake a bit.

It sounds like to me shock/struts.

thats not to hard to find out if it is.

Put your knee on the bumper, and bounce the car bad on each corner, it should rebound, then settle in 1-2 more up down stroke. If it continues to bounce more then that you got a dead shock/strut. Do this to all 4 corners of the car.

ALSO you can get a friend to follow you on the highway when pretty clear. Stay in the center lane, and have them drive around the car on both sides of the car looking at the tires, I bet he sees one when it hits a pot hole or a bump bounce up and down violently, or a tire just going crazy up and down on its own while you do 40-60 mph.
