alright, heres some background. im interning at the company my dad works at. a few years ago my bro was a coop there and decided to pull a small prank on my dad when he was in a meeting. since my dad is a really bad typer who looks down at the keys, my brother switched the M and N keys, and of course my dad didnt notice. so he's sitting there for a good 45 mins trying to input his password to login. obviously didnt work....

anyways, everyone around the office knows my brother for doing that, and i want to do something similar.

i dont care if its original, as long as it's awesome. as of right now, im thinking the sticky note prank might work, but i'd have to find out his meeting schedule.

anyone have any ideas? thanks

I'm sure you'll have fun removing all those stickies too. Changing keys is 1 thing, but your Dad will probably have you doing the clean-up for any large-scale prank like that.

I'd try to think of a different type of prank.

^^^^that's why im not settling on that prank for sure. i dont want to have to clean it up, and i dont want to get in trouble for wasting time, even though i just sit in my cube on my iphone or dick around. either way, i'd prolly work an extra half hour to compensate.

the cups of water would be way harder, and potentially disastrous if a cup fell over, unless u mean cover the floor.

^^^ he sucks at typing, but hes not dumb. he'd figure it out quite fast. also, i dont think it would be as funny as the post it note one. however, i just realized that if the post-it note thing conflicts with his work, i may not be so liked around the building. i guess im back at square one. luckily i have 8 hours tomorrow to think about it....thank god for being a bored intern!

BINGO, if you really want to mess with them, get an image viewer that allows full screen viewing to where nothing else but the image shows, set the image viewer to load when XP loads and have that image automatically come up. That way even if he presses the reset button when the desktop comes back up it's full screen picture of what looks to be his desktop. He doesn't sound like a computer person so he won't think to press C+A+D. I did this to a co-worker and they were almost in tears. They ended up bringing in the Admin and he was stumped for about 15 minutes, it was pretty hilarious.

well they didn't find the humor in it that I did, but I thought it was great.

that sounds good, but i cant install stuff on any work computers. its just the rules. im sure it doesnt matter too much, but i dont want to get in trouble, since i may come back in a year as a co-op.

if you plan on coming back, pulling a prank might not be a good idea, wait till you are done with your co-op first then pull the prank

Ya, you guys are probably right. Maybe I'll do something small near the end of the summer, just incase they dont rehire me. My dad has been there long enough to the point where a small prank won't matter
