Someone just brought me a computer with Windows XP Home Edition on it. Apparently, their 7 year old kid was messing around with the computer and he set a password on the only account on the computer. When the computer boots now, it stops and asks for a password for that account. Nobody knows the password (kid can't remember). There appears to be no way around this to get into Windows. Can someone help me out here please?
I was able to boot into safe mode and then log on as the administrtor and remove the password. Funny I couldn't log in as the administrator in normal mode...
