Hi,

Well I 've been reading all kinds of things on overclocking. I'm starting to get a little confuse.

What would be the best way to get 900 mhz?

I've tried changing the mutiplier setting in my bios to 9 and my bus 113 but just got 790mhz. Is my motherboard locking me out or is my chip? I have read some stuff on a use of a #2B pencil. Is this the same kind of #2 pencil we use in school?

Please, email me any info that would help.

Thanks Jerry Buggss@MSN.com

I just did this myself today, did you already pencil your chip? if not you need to connect all the L1 Bridges, there are 4 of them, then you can change the multiplier.

Thanks Rifter

Oh, do you think I need to change to pencil in a different voltage, while I'm at it (according to Fuzzy logic I'm at 1.63.)?

Thanks again, Jerry

if i understand you correctly, no you dont need to pencil anyhting to change the voltage, you should be able to do that with no changes, just connect the L1's and you can change multiplier and voltage.

Pencil only L1 bridges
(And don't connect the 4 bridges together please. See that too often

Hi,

Well I finally use the pencil. I had my duron 700 up aout 925mhz.

I just set there in my chair amazed and the temp. was about 37 C at idle.
But I decide to leave speed at 850 for right now.

Hey, I got a good question: What would be the best choice, if you were given a choice between a muiltipler 8.5 at 100 bus 1.62v total of 850 or a multiplier of 8 at 105 bus 1.62v total of 840.

I always heard it's better to run a smaller mulitiplier with a larger bus, than runing a larger mulitiplier with a small bus.

Any comments?

Thanks Jerry1
