Ok so I have an optoma hd33. I need three things to go along with this. Now I have looked but its kind of confusing so i figured I would ask you guys.

1. The correct bulb with casing
2. The correct glasses. (do I need an emitter I think mine came with one.

As for the bulb I can find them online but the problem is I dont know if they come with the casing intact. Or if its just the bulb. See I read somewhere that the casing doesnt always come with the bulb. I keep finding bulbs that are anywhere from 117 dollars to 310 dollars. I assume taht the more expensive ones come with the case but I dont wanna make a mistake and get it wrong. End up spending 300 dollars for something I cant even use.

The 2nd thing is the 3d glasses. Know I am pretty sure my hd33 came with an emitter so I shouldnt need one. See I can find glasses for 50ish bucks but I keep finding glasses with an emitter for 120 bucks. Now I dont wanna buy the wrong thing end up spending cash one something that wont work or I dont need.

Any help with this would be much appreciated. Like I said I just dont wanna f things up and spend money on something I dont need. I have done that in the past and its very aggrovating.

Alan, your HD33 can use the emitter that came with it and these glasses:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o01_s00_i00

You can also use DLP 3D technology, but you'll have to get an emitter. That may be a cheaper route at this point - I paid only about $70-75 each for the ones in the Amazon link above, but they are listing much more now.

Do some research on AVSforum, you'll find everything you need to know and more.

rf is better in the sense that you don't need a line of sight like infrared. But you are so limited in the glasses...going with the infrared dlp gives you more selection and possibly lower cost in the long run.

I was new to 3d when I bought my hd33 and the idea of having to maintain a line of sight pushed me to buy the rf glasses, but I might do it differently if I had it to over.
