Sorry if this is OT, but I posted it here on the Network board, and got no response. Basically, the problem is that I my brother in another state plays Madden with me online. Well, he had dial up, so we never got to play (sucked bad), but rather synced up our franchise data. Since we're dying to play, he was able to network to our dad's computer, and share his cable connection. However, he can't connect to the game now. He went back and tried dial up again, and it works fine. So it has to do with the network.
He has a NetGear starter set, with NIC cards and a hub. From what I've researched, I'm assuming it has to do with NAT, and not having the IP's configured for gaming. But we have no idea what to do. Any suggestions? Before you ask, no firewalls are involved. We recently installed firewalls, but had this problem before. We'll disable the firewalls to connect, then figure the firewalls out later. I'm just dying to play. Our game has been on hiatus for weeks.
