Perhaps someone can help me regarding adding RAM.

My machine is old - 486 120Mhz. with only 16Mbyts of RAM

To avoid hard disk being used as "virtual memory" I upgraded to 64Mb of RAM.

My graphics almost ceased to function! If I 'clicked' with my mouse, something would happen in maybe 30 seconds - maybe! Odd thing though. On-line, my download speed doubled from 2.7Kb/s to 5.7Kb/s.

If anyone has answers, it would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know the model of your motherboard? Maybe the mobo doesn't cache that hi of an amount of ram, so it slows down memory access.
