Need help with OCing on a SA6r, p3 700 & compuwiz's RAM

I have a Sa6r, a P3 700 @ 1108 I bought from Bonkers, and 256 infineon RAM from Compuwiz.

System:
netgear NIC
SB live value
Wintek Geforce 256

Any time I try and OC it does the alarm siren and is annoying as hell. I have the dip switches set as 1,2,4,6,7,8 off 3 and 5 on.

What bios settings do you guys suggest? I was succcessful OCing with my bp6 but I'm an idiot when it comes to the sa6r.

What should I have the ram settings and everything else sey as?

Where can I read about it so I don't bug the heck out of you guys?

I don't know that board at all. I have one that I tested at well over 1GHz and sold and the fella says it wont even go 933 on the SA6R. Some settings are being overlooked somewhere.

Why are people not buying boards that are all set in softmenu? :Q

alright maybe you can try this ....1-2-3-5- on 4-6-7-8 off i manage to overclock miine to 1015MHZ ....from p3 700

dude, use the default jumper settings and use the SOFT MENU III, thing is the most kick@ss clocking tool in the world (exaggeration + bias) ... just go into bios and set your FSB, cpuclock/ram/pci ratio, and voltage... make sure the speed error check is disabled, and starter up!!! happy clocking... (p.s. i believe bonkers325 tests his chips on this board so no reason why it's the problem)

SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!

It's running like a champ... I had the delta on my fop32 plugged into the mobo. I plugged into the power supply and everything is fine.

SIDE-EFFECT: My network card freaks @150 but @133 seems fine... wierd

Anyone have any thoughts on how to fix that?

Try a USB nic. Your PCI is seriously out of range. You could get a few different brand NIC's and try each but - good luck man. I am envious of your cpu, but still very happy with my own rock solid stable P3 700e @ 1002 and 256 megs Infinion @ 2-2-2 5t/7t (Thanks Steve!)

I have the same problem, and cannot figure out why my chip wont OC (p3 700e)

actually pci if you use the 4:4:1 is 150/4 = 37.5 which is above the default 33 MHz, but not dangerous... i have my sa6r @ 151 and everything is fine, as pci bus goes, i've had some generic stuff take pci bus speeds at about ~42 MHz without any probs

emm thats truth supradude..i am running ration 4:4:1 too with 145 fsb which is 36.25 for pci ...my pci all running well.

I'm also doin 4:4:1, but still see problems when I run @ about 150 FSB... Hmmmmm

Try a Linksys 10/100 nic card I had very good luck running mine @ 150 FSb
