Need help with new WiFi Router.

I just installed a new LinkSys WRT54GL Router but I can't figure out how to connect my iPod Touch to my WiFi network. I used WPA Personal for the security setting. My iPod will show my network and show that it's secured. However, when I try to connect to my network it asks for a password. I don't remember setting a network password. I entered a name for my network, router password, and a WPA Key. I'm looking at the Router settings and there is no place to set up a password. So what the heck am I doing wrong? Is the password my WPA Key?

Probably. Since you are using a secure connection with a key, the iPod Touch will need to know what credentials (or key) to use for access.

The iPod Touch is asking for a Password. There is no place to enter a key.

Right, use your key as the password.

Thanks for the help. The key was the password. I had used almost 60 letters, numbers, and characters for the key and I just couldn't enter all that and get it right. I changed it to something shorter and got on without any problems. I was under the impression that the key needed to be really long. LOL! Thanks again.

Having a longer more complex key is good, but you have to keep in mind how easy it will be to enter it on new devices. Good luck.
