Need help with new rig budget

I set a max of $1500 for myself and have found that my parts total about $250 over budget. After all the research I've done on these parts I've become stubborn about downgrading to fit my budget. I'll either have to change my attitude and cut some corners or wait until prices fall. Overspending is not an option- it just doesn't seem right to spend more than $1500 on a computer. A few notes:

Computer has to be *significantly* better than my P4 2.8/ 9800 Pro Dell (which will go to my office).

Has to be a good oc'er.

Has to be s939 (I think).

I live in CA thus sales tax at newegg, monarch etc.

I really don't need much hard drive capacity (this might be an easy one).

I have a nice monitor, ok speakers, mouse, keyboard. Also have optical drive.

From what I've seen on ebay, prices are not much better than newegg (but carry risk).

OK, here it is:

$110- Lian li pc-65
$116- Antec 480w Neopower
$295- 3500+ 90nm
$40- Tr copper heat sink slk-948u
$7- vantec stealth 92mm
$138- MSI k8n neo2 plat
$399- evga 6800 gt
$268- Ocz el plat rev 2 (1gb)
$152- 74 gb raptor (after rebate)
$9- WD sata cable "secure connect"
$92- xp home

Grand total $1626 (+ tax and shipping). I need to take $250 off of base price.

Any ideas or comments?

I have the exact same setup you do, but I use:

Enermax 470w - 75 bucks and works great
TR XP-90 heatsink with a Panaflo fan
BFG 6800GT OC
OCZ EL Gold Rev2, but it's DDR500
A 7200RPM hard drive (seagate, 160GB)

Budget looks nice, you might wanna switch to BFG 6800GT instead because it has a nice warranty and comes pre-OC'd, meaning it's a nice OC-er. Just don't get the dual-fan version because it's loud as total F (although you can use Expertool to turn down the speeds).
