Need help with new PC components

Hi!

I'm new on the forum, but have been reading it for the past days and it looks great.

Anyway, I' buying a new PC and need some help from you guys. I use the computer for:

- Internet
- E-mail
- Office applications
- Digital Photo
- With the new, want to do a little Video Editting (nothing much, just ripping some stuff from DVD's and editting it with simple effects to help in presentations...)

I've looked around some stores in my Country (live in Europe) and with my budget I can either get something like:

ASUS P5GDC Deluxe
INTEL Pentium 4 3.0 GHz 530 Socket 775 BOX

OR

ASUS A8V Deluxe Socket 939
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Socket 939


Either of these will be used with:

CHIEFTEC DX-01B-D-U Black
2X KINGSTON ValueRam 512MB DDR 400MHz
SEAGATE Hard Drive 160GB Serial ATA 7200 RPM ST3160827AS
CREATIVE Sound Blaster Audigy LS Bulk
LG 4161 16X Double Layer Bulk

Now, should I go for the AMD OR the Pentium?

And, big question, which Graphic Card to buy? I do not play (use PSII for that) and my budget won't let me go much farther than a ASUS PCX5750TD128 Ge-Force 128MB PCI-Express or ASUS AX600XTTD128 ATI Radeon X600XT 128MB DDR PCI-E , but quite frankly I'm kind of lost here...

I think PCI-E based is a good option, since it seems it will be the standard for the years to come... Also you may notice I repeatedly mention ASUS MB and GC. This is because the best prices I found near home were these...

Any help would be appreciated... Feel free to give me other options other than the two I mentioned.
