Does the CPU fan start spinning?

You want to unplug everything except for the CPU, memory, video card and keyboard and possibly the mouse.

Start with the CPU, make sure it is socketed properly and the fan is properly sinched on.

Next, move to the memory and start by using only a single piece (single channel) in the the first slot.

Hard drive, cd-rom and/or floppy drive are not necessary to boot up to BIOS.

If you can't get that far then you know its one of the first three or possibly the motherboard power.

Possibly BIOS bug where first display adapter is PCI. After powering on and not getting picture, try pushing the reset button and see if it boots.

Second, you should give MUCH more info! What kind of mobo, cpu, vga, psu etc.

Mobo = X58 LGA 1366 socket, Asus P6T Deluxe V2

CPU = i7 920

VGA = EVGA Gtx 295

PSU = 850W OCZ Gamer Xstrean (ATX 12V 2.3)

Ram = G.Skill 3x2GB 1366 9-9-9-24 1.5v-1.6v

When I try to turn on my PSU power.. the mobo turns on but doesn't boot. By turning on and not booting I mean that the red and green light comes on the power(red) reset(green) buttons, respectively(onboard power switch). How ever, I try to click both and still the mobo just seems not to boot. Now, I did try my PSU with my older comp(dc everything from it except one case fan and the CPU ofcourse and the that old mobo boots just fine. So, atleast the PSU is not faulty..

I did try and unplugging everything(even the ram, video card) and try with just the mainpower and CPU power.. still no luck!

Running into the same issue. Power comes on, lights and fans, but no video. Tried reset and going down to bare minimum --no joy. Only weird thing I see is the fan for video card doesn't come on. Any ideas?

Are your RAM sticks in the three black slots? (i.e., starting with the one closest to the CPU?) If so, put them in the orange slots.
