I am useing Ghost to image my hard drive on my laptop and wish to drop the image to my desktop. I tried with LPT and forget it, that will take days to image and transfer! So I wish to image my laptop with Ghost and place the file on my desktop using "Netbios"? I have a network card in my desktop and in my laptop, I have the two connected via a proper transfer cable. What I need to know now is how to set up "Netbios" if someone can help me out would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.

NetBIOS is aka NetBEUI. I'll assume that you're running eithe 95,98 or Me. If Win2K, feel free to ignore the following.

Open up network. You can do this either by right-clicking the desktop icon, and selecting "Properties", or by going in to Control Panel to open it up. Once it is open, you will see a list of the adapters and prorocols that are installed.

Click "Add", then select "Protocol", and click "Add" again. Then, from the left box, highlight Microsoft, and from the right box, highlight NetBEUI. then click OK.

At this point, it will want your Windows CD. After it installs the files, you'll need to reboot.
