Need help with Nero 5.5 for compilation CD

I purchased a new TDK drive that came with Nero 5.5. I updated to 5.5.9.0. I previously used EZ CD Basic, but had problems with the software after working fine for 4 months.

I liked the fact the EZ CD would allow you to get track names from the internet, then select the tracks from your original, then burn them.

When I bring up Nero's browser window, it just lists the track numbers, with no ability to get names. I've created a program database. When a track is dragged to the Audio window, a new window pops up which lets you access the internet database for song titles. I haven't figured out a consistent way to wind up with the track title in the audio window.

It seems to me that the EZ CD interface that lets you select songs from different CDs and burn them onto one disk was much better.

Any help on how to accomplish the above, or a link to an article explaning how would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same concerns when I upgraded to 5.9. It seemed as if the cd-text stuff was deactivated. The only time you will get the internet database access pop-up is for the song you are moving to the new compilation. And that is only if the cd you are moving from doesn't have cd text. If it already has cd-text it just moves the name and such over automatically. You don't have the ability to change the song info like the previous versions.

It took me a few days to figure this out. In versions prior to 5.9 you always got the cddb access pop-up whenever you copied anything, disc, song, whatever. Now you only get it when there is no cd-text information available on the disc. Hope this helps.
