Need help with name of song I heard this weekend

Maybe someone can help. I have very few clues but it was interesting song. Not something I'd normally listen to so I have no idea what it is. Maybe someone can help.

It's sort of pop rock...it's a band that plays instruments.

Singer sounds like the guy from Maroon5. It might be Maroon5.

The chorus is about an old girlfriend he dumped but maybe wishes he shouldn't have? Maybe she dumped him? It was something about a girl from the past.

The singer sings the chorus in a higher pitch for the most part. Some particular words are a bit higher pitched.

The timing is not traditional 4/4 time. It's a different beat not typical of this music.


Hopefully someone can at least tell me the name. I appreciate any help. I do believe it's a relatively new song or within the last year or two.

Not it. Given what I wrote, I would have probably guessed that as well.

The song was a bit more up tempo than that. It sounded a lot like M5 but I'm pretty sure I've heard most of their stuff before and it wasn't them. I do appreciate the guess.

I wish I knew some. All I can remember is that it was about some girl he dumped or she dumped him. The chorus is a bit funky and a very different time signature than most. His voice "cracks" a bit during the chorus each time.

I figured this post was a shot in the dark. However, I've seen others like this where someone has guessed it after awhile.

Any guesses would be appreciated. It's fairly up tempo pop rock song, and I'm guessing it's fairly recent.

It was on a TouchTunes jukebox system. I'm going to poke around their site for awhile. Still, with TT, it could have been just about anything that remotely mainstream.
