Need help with my T-bird o/cing!

My 1Ghz can't go higher than 1155mhz. Anything above that I'm getting the registry and file allocation errors when starting Win98se.
What could be the reason for this?

1. Are you at 1.85v? If not, go there.
2. You have an awesome heatsink and fan and are at 1.85v? If not, get one.

3. Thunderbirds are known to clock between 100-150 AT max, if you're super lucky , maybe 200mghz. You might have a dud!

I had that same problem. Try setting the multiplier to 11.5 and then the bus to +5. It's what I did to get mine to work..
