My 1Ghz can't go higher than 1155mhz. Anything above that I'm getting the registry and file allocation errors when starting Win98se.
What could be the reason for this?

Link, You might have hit the chips limit. Nothing wrong with 1155mhz. It looks like you have good cooling in the fop-38.

Yeah, it could be it's limit, or it might just need a little more juice (voltage)
to get it to go higher. There's also another possibilty, it *might* be BIOS related.
I came across a new beta BIOS listed on Abits FTP server, ver. *UZ103b1* and this is
what it says in the accompanying text file

<< Beta KT7/KT7-RAID BIOS UZ.B01 embedded with HPT370 RAID 1.0.3b1

1. Supports up to Athlon 1.25G (100FSBx12.5)
2. Fix STD and STR issue in Windows ME
3. Update RAID bios to 1.0.3b1
4. Fix only one hard drive recognized via FDISK.EXE

I thought up-to a 12.5x multiplier was already supported , although I can't verify
it because my Duron 600 will only do a lousy 1 Gig. :frown: *:p*

Personally, I wouldn't use a beta bios, but if you want it you can find it on
one of Abits ftp-servers, , listed
HERE,under the beta bios directory.
