I'll be graduating next year, and I just wanted to get a headstart on my job hunt. So I just put together this resume. I would really appreciate it if anyone could give me pointers as I'm a total n00b to resume building.

TIA.

The Technical Report system was used by the company to give technicians and Engineers a means

Errrm... thank you for stating the obvious. I was looking for help from this board which was why I posted here, besides they aren't open now.

a lot of people will tell you to remove the references part. Just leave it out completely. Also you should have an "objective" section above your education section that is tailor-made for the position the company needs

spell "pursuing" right.

or put something like

EDUCATION:
New Jersey Instititue of Tech, Newark, New Jersey
Bacheor of Science, Computer Science - Expected Graduation Date December 2005.
Overall GPA: 3.78, Major GPA (if its higher.)
Add in any honors here.

pursuing sounds weird...

EDIT: also in addition to an objective, tailor your resume to each job you apply for. if this is for a job fair, just highlight your accomplishments and your experience.

if its for a specific job, read the ad and see what they want, and specifically mention in your resume if you've done it before. also tailor the objective using key words from their ad into your resume and cover letter.

think about what you want to highlight first: your experience, education or skills. put your most impressive first, then next impressive, and then least impressive near the bottom.

If you're going to list ASP and ASP.NET as two separate things, at least put them next to each other, not one first and the other last after a bunch of unrelated stuff.
