I would say to take that bad boy back...it wouldnt hurt anything to do so, and if you don't you'll always wonder "what if" 😉

Really though, you shouldnt have to adjust your monitor booting into windows each time. Something could be the matter, or it could be something wrong with the entire line of monitors. Only returning it for a different one will tell you.

It shifts a bit because it's still warming up. Both of the problems you described are typical of Sony monitors, so I wouldn't worry about it. Try this next time you turn on your monitor: Let it warm up for 30-45 minutes before you attempt to adjust anything. Usually the screen will adjust itself to where you had it before (But of course, make sure you make adjustments ONLY after the warm up period)

I haven't seen this on any of the Sony Trinitron OEMs (KDS, etc) only on actual Sony monitors.

hmmm, I talked to my dad, and he also said it was normal of his trinitron moniters @ work...he said he lets them warm up before he uses them in the mornings...if this is the case...I guess its normal...I am gonna test the theory and turn it on tomorrow and see how long it takes for the position of the screen to return to normal, if it does and requires no change, I guess its normal, and if it doesnt...gonna take this bad boy back to best buy, 🙂
