Need Help with my MX-3

After three years of my brother letting it go to hell and getting into many accidents with it, I have finally inherited our family's 95 mazda MX-3.

It's a good car, runs well, has a new clutch, water pump, fan belt, and a kind of new engine.

I am trying to decide if she is worth keeping for a while and cleaning up a bit or if i should just put up with it being trash until I can afford something better. I am a college student starting my junior year, so I could theoretically have it for a while if it lasts.

What do you think?


If i keep it, what should I do with it that I can afford with a part time job paying ten bucks an hour??

Realistically, to repaint it and take a massive dent out that my brother gave it would cost 800 bucks at maaco. Is that worth it?

You gotta light it up - nothin but neon. And one of those big wings on the back so you can go faster. Lower it down to about an inch from the ground, and get a tailpipe you can stick your head in. You'll need some fancy stickers for the back, too.


Or you could just drive it.... 😉
 
The mx-3 will never be fast....well not without dumping too much money on it.....just live with the car as is right now and save some money for another car for when you graduate and have a real job.
 
Is that it? Now I am depressed having to live with this POS car.....dang. I can't have anything newer than it because Duke holds it against my personal income and reduces my financial aid.

though i must admit, if i get enough stickers, I can both cover up all of the scratches and the missing paint AND get my car up to, say, 800hp
 
it's a nice car. Do a couple simple mods...k&n air filter/charger, maybe a new exhaust, fix the paint/dent, and keep it running smooth and you'll have a nicer car.

Any idea on brands / types? I really don't want my car to sound like it is farting the whole time with a ricer exhaust, but somethin moderately priced that makes it run nice would be awesome
