Hi there, I am going to be buying an Abit IC7 (no lan) or an AI7. I have an MSI FX5900SP VTD256, which can be found here: http://www.msi.com.tw/program/produ...ail.php?UID=504
The thing that worries me is that the heatsink assembly on the back of the card sticks out quite a bit...its a beast. I read a review where they used a similar card from msi that uses the same cooling, and they had to use a Dremel tool to grind down two fins on the northbridge heatsink so that the card would properly seat in the AGP slot. The motherboard that they used was an IC7-MAX3. Well I looked at some pictures and it seems that the AI7's northbridge cooler is just a tad bit further over from the agp slot than the MAX3's cooler...
Also, does the standard IC7 or IC7-G have the exact same NB cooler as the MAX3? (most pics I find are the old-style cooler and not the new finned ones.).
Thanks alot in advance for any help!
