I have a problem with my current monitor (a Samsung S27A550H - 27 inch) it is connected through HDMI to my Nvidia GTX460 with an adapter in between as my videocard only has mini HDMI.
Now I have searched all over the internet and different forums but so far I haven't come accross my problem.
My problem is that sometimes when I play a videogame or just this morning when watching a tv-show the monitor just goes completely black for like 1 second and then the image (from whatever was happening on screen) reappears again. And it is driving me nuts sometimes it happens like five times in a row in 1 minute. Oh and it happens with games, movies or even just browsing the internet.
Some of my thoughts on the problem:
- It's the HDMI connecter / cable (maybe it's loose and it loses the signal, but normally that would give a message on the screen, which is not the case)
- It's the build in ECO sensor (but I have that turned off, but the ECO sensor normally turns your screen off when you move away from your computer and goes on again when you're back)
- It's my videocard (highly doubt this because it has been working great, never had a problem with it)
It's hard to give more specific information. This morning though I did notice some lines when watching the tv show before it went black and came back again.
Does anyone have any similar problems. Do you think I should return it (I only have it for two weeks now)
p.s. What I haven't tried is hooking it up from HDMI to DVI (monitor only has 1 HDMI and 1 VGA port - silly I know, but I use HDMI anyway so it doesn't matter for me).
