need help with my lapop

just got a laptop neo brand "its a taiwanese brand" anyways it has a 40 g hd, i want to partition it but it seems that when i use partion magic ver 8.0 i says that i have a unmovable file or something that blocks me from partitioning it, how can i fix it, by the way my os is windows xp home edition... ty in advance..

btw isi it normal to have a hdden partion mine has one...

hidden partitions are usually the built-in restore partitions... instead of recovery cds.
