Basically I need to to know if these components work together and just some input haha.

What is the PC going to be used for?

If it's just for gaming, what monitor resolution will you be gaming at and what games?

Are you sure you will need the HDD? One 240GB SSD can already fit a decent number of programs and games.

Do you have a maximum budget?
 
AM3? There are very few scenarios where that's a good buy compared to Intel.

Ironically, those video cards also don't look like a good buy with AMD's lower-end RX series coming out shortly. (The RX 480 just came out, but I'm thinking about the 470 or 460.)

I will be playing a wide variety of games, mostly games like Bethesda games and other RPGS.

It's just a good price for a 2tb HD, but when I finally buy the build I might shrink it.

I don't necessarily have a max budget but once I have a CPU picked out and I have the final build I might try to budget a bit.

Buy the graphics card now while the promo is still on. With the rebate, that's by far the best price on a GTX 960 4GB.

If you want to spend a little more on something:
- higher quality and bigger PSU, will last at least 5 years: EVGA 650 GQ $80 AR
- faster CPU to allow for upgrading graphics in the future: i5-6500 $250
- better case: Corsair 100R SE $65
