Need help with Mustang A/C

Have a 1999 Mustang V6 and when the A/C is on it leaks into the car instead of the outside. I figured a hose might have came loose but thats not the case. The thing that looks like it catchs the water is broke from the inside. It broke right where it leaves the car(like someone jammed it with their foot).

I am going to try and fix this myself and I found the parts which I haven't went and got yet. Wondering do I need to drop the whole blower casing and all in behind the glove box or is there a way to just take off the bottom half where the problem is? It looks like its glued together.

Any tips on taking this out as I don't have the extra to have it fixed by someone else. I am good with fixing things and am sure I can do it. I just don't wanna have to pull the whole thing out if I don't have to.
