Hey doodes and doodettes, this is GOODSPEED from www.overclockers-network.com. I need help in finding a new BIOS chip for my MSI 6330 MOBO. The one I have was FLASHED BAD and now what I get when I boot up is one long beep followed by two short beeps followed by infinate really short beeps. I also checked the D-LED on board help and it shows one red light meaning floppy initialization failed. I tried the SAFE BIOS RECOVERY trick, where you put the bios file, awdflash, and boot up files with a .bat file to AUTO FLASH the bios, but it doesn't work because the MOBO doesn't even recognize the floppy. :-( I don't have another BIOS chip to HOT FLASH it with, so I can't do that, unless one of you guys has one that I can BORROW for a day. :) I tried calling MSI and all I get is the voice mail. I left messages but NO reply. I also sent Email but it has been a week and nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated here. Please feel free to contact me at: goodspeed@overclockers-network.com

Thank you for your time and consideration.
Goodspeed

I don't know what type of BIOS chip is in the board, I just installed one of these in my system yesterday, but if the chip is of the same size, physcially and electrically, as any other motherboard, you could hot flash in that other motherboard. Another words, if you have a trusting friend with say an Abit board with the same BIOS chip, you can hot flash your chip in his motherboard. Only restriction I have encountered is that the flash program has to be from the same manufacturer as the booted system. I have done different chips in different motherboards this way successfully.
