well, I've got 2 harddrives, one is 10GB (and very noisy) and holds OS and programs, and the other one is 40GB which holds data files. My question is, is there any way to transfer OS and programs from one disk to the other without uninstalling and installing? Can I just copy Windows folder and programs folder to the other drive, disconect the first one? Or I am on crack?
Thanks

No, and maybe.🙂

You need a place to park your data files on the 40 GB drive. Then you can clone your 10GB drive to the 40 GB drive and go from there.

Or - use a program like Partition Magic 8 to put the data files in a partition in the back of the 40 GB drive - then clone the 10 GB drive to the front partition of the 40 GB drive using TrueImage 8.
