Need help with motherboard/ram

myjaja

Diamond Member
I've been away from computers for a long time now. Well, I just got a intel motherboard from my brother.

How can I find out if it takes DDR or DDR2 ram without pluging anything in? It says IBM REV 1.2 on the motherboard. It even has two slots for memory. The first slot says DDR1 and the second slot says DDR2.

thanks

The cpu socket type would be a start.

DDR DIMM is 184-pin
DDR2 DIMM 240-pin
